Back before Phicen gave us seamless 1/6 'action figures', there were a number of jointed dolls available. My favorite (I've got a few) was the Triad Otaku

My old eyes can't make out whether the copyright date on the first photo is 2006 or 2008. I lost interest in this manufacturer after Phicen introduced seamless dolls. Triad Toys still has a presence on ebay and has plenty of listings including the dolls shown here.
