Title: Best 'place' to buy a silicone doll?
Post by: scrappy on November 01, 2021, 03:53:57 PM
So, looking at Smoke's 'petites' I got curious about yet another doll. I tried the realdoll web site but I found it too 'busy' to navigate easily. I phoned Abyss and spoke to a young lady who clearly had very little knowledge about the industry. Anyway, 'bottom line' for me is that I've always bought a doll shipped in cardboard, including my Boy Toy. Never had a problem with the cardboard, only idiot shippers opening the package. I suppose that's something to be said for the realdoll crates - harder for the idiots to open so a disincentive. Nevertheless, I don't want to deal with a 200 lb crate (also 6'x2'x2' - ridiculous).

Is there any good place in the US to buy a SILICONE doll any more? By 'good place', my criteria include:
- trustworthy shipping. Seko is the only shipping on my white list at the moment.
- quality doll. peeps know I'm a 4woods bigot. my 2009 Boy Toy was a quality doll in her day. today she'd be regarded as too hard to the touch. I also wouldn't purchase another cartoon body. Basically no exploding skeleton, no easily tearing flesh.
- good customer service. that includes 8x5 live phone response and 'reasonable' order fulfillment. All my dolls were shipped within 3 months of payment. I consider that reasonable.

Unfortunately, this is what I've run into as well, unless you can speak with Debra. But I don't know if she went along with their move to Las Vegas or not. I kind doubt it.

Can't argue with you there either.

However, even with these issues, I still say RD's are just about the beast silicone doll you can get in the US. The skeleton issues (to my knowledge) are a thing of the past, and their silicone softness is quite stunning, almost as soft as TPE.
