Title: Do you see what I see? Or am I the lone perv?

Take a look at the glorious Saturn V Moon Rocket that made history and sent human kind to the moon and back.

Photos just don't do it's majesty justice! It's a true wonder to behold.
In just over 2.5 minutes, those 5 massive engines will hurl that entire 361 foot tall behemoth of a rocket to 42 miles above the earth at an unimaginable speed of 8 times the speed of sound!
All the while drinking a total of 15 tons of propellant every second!
At launch, it produced soooo much acoustic energy at the pad, that from from Cape Kennedy Florida, Earthquake detectors in California could feel it!
The folks at Nasa told me so!

Pretty impressive huh?

Well in spite of all that wonder, I just can't get past this when ever I see it...… take a look at the pic again and look closely at the bottom engine on the left.

See what I see?  :P     No?  let's take a closer look....

See it now?   :P     Not yet?
Ok, I just happen to have an unfinished model of one on hand...... Pretty convenient huh?  ;D   And the lovely Julie has offered to help demonstrate what I see.  :D

That must be one HUGE model of the Saturn V!  I'd like to see more photo's of that!  I am wondering where you got it from?

P.S.  I didn't "get it",  too blown away by the size of the model engine!

Phil

Ok, got it now had another look. The manifold looking things wrapping around the cone look like legs, and the crack....

Thanks Smoke   :)   I like to think so too!

Hey Phil :)    Sorry to disappoint, but the model is just the F! engine and not the entire Saturn V. That would be pretty impressive! It was a rare limited edition kit I came across over 10 years ago while searching info on the F1 rocket engine.

Umm... Ceej?

" Leaving it to the imagination "     is highly overrated.

I gotta wonder if you imagine too much!  :P
