Title: Need help with Zelex SLE doll
Post by: Euchre on February 15, 2024, 08:02:17 PM
Hey all.  Have a friend ( not cat related) who bought a Zelex SLE doll and the taint area is tearing already.  What were the various kinds of silicone for tears?  i recall GE silicone but which one?  Remember, this is one of the new SLE dolls so not sure if it will make a difference.

thanks in advance, Euch

Euchre i have the SLE as well. Yup that area is very fragile and does tear easy. Are you asking about repair? I have people that deal in SLE so i can ask. There is an online community and if your buddy reached out i can get him an invite to Discord. Thanks DM

GE Silicone II Kitchen and bath, or any RTV silicone for that matter.  Remember that it needs to smell strongly of vinegar. The stronger the better.

Sil-poxy is best, but very expensive compared to the GE.

Here is what i was told about SLE silicone. The standard stuff works. Silpoxy or the flowable windshield stuff.

Howdy, Euchre!

I really like the Permatex flowable. It dries softer than Silpoxy, adheres well, and it can be injected for delamination issues without dilution and won't cause hard lumps under the skin.
