« Last post by Phil on September 04, 2026, 03:38:03 PM »The split end repair gave way, (5 months) I found the silpoxy did not adhere that well to the rubber. Probably due to oxidation. So I wiped it clean with acetone after peeling off the silpoxy and will give it another go..

P.S. I been busy with one sixth's and ordered a 1/4 BJD off EBAY, a Chinese Popovy knock off. (Such a lovely face, not one of the weird ones) There are a few Russian ladies doing incredibly good work, but I can't afford 'em. I really ought to get my ass in gear and relearn posting pics here. How long have I been saying that?

« Last post by Smoke on August 11, 2026, 01:57:00 PM »The Chinese figured out ( at least in Lusandy's case) in a very short time a durable yet soft silicone mix that none of the North American manufactures ever figured out ,with maybe Mechadoll (USA) as an exception. The finish and skeleton certainly none of the North American manufactures ever figured out. Realdoll is a shadow of it's former self. Change is inevitable and the Chinese steamrolled every one.

So, in the meantime I will be hosting them here.
That said I realized I never told you their names!
My 170cm doll with the Maya head is named Renata.
My 165cm doll with the Belle head is named Collette.
I think I have settled on their eyes (bought a few different sets of colors), but am still working though what their "standard" hair will be.
Smoke, you were right, they have blown me away and made me reconsider much of what I thought I knew about dolls. It is a good time to be in this hobby!
