Rules for the galleries

Here are some basic rules I suggest we start with for the galleries:

* It is recognized that photos are the property of the original poster
* No Dolls appearing to be under legal age of 18. We check ID's at the door.
* No Human/Doll pics involving Sex Acts
* Nothing that would elude to Human/Doll Sex (IE POV close-ups)
* No simulations of Bodily Fluids, except Tears of Joy and lube.
* Explicit photos and photos including body fluids such as ejaculate, squirting etc., are allowed in the gallery.
* No Explicit pictures in the forum posts. Use links with a disclaimer.
* For very explicit photos (ie, ejaculate, squirting) posted on the forum, use links with a disclaimer.
* No weapons used in a violent fashion. (Phoebe can still brandish the peacemaker)
* A separate album is encouraged, but not necessary.
* Bondage, Discipline and the like are to be to a minimum please
* Management reserves the right to remove any pic for any reason without notice.
   However, we will try to be helpful and explanatory.

There are two choices when clicking on the gallery link. Coppermine and gallery 3.  I'm just identifying a point of confusion. An explanation may be needed for member clarity.

Two totally different gallery software packages.  The Gallery3 gallery is not as flexible and powerful as Coppermine, but is seems to be fruity device friendly.  If Coppermine is determined to be as fruity device friendly, we can get rid of Gallery3.  But for now, there are two places to look for pictures.

Self Registration is not enabled on either gallery so members have to request a gallery and a gallery administrator will add them.  Currently the Request Gallery link is not working in Coppermine, but I will get it fixed.  :cheers:

 Because of a recent photo shoot I will be posting, it got me thinking about explicit content. I'm talking   about  more then just nudity , Doll on Doll sexual acts and simulated body fluids.  Are we going to allow this, or should we work into the rules about posting links to the pictures.  If so then we will need to post a tutorial on posting links to explicit pictures.

These are very popular photos as they get a ton of views, and we all enjoy them.

But I do links in a post are a good idea, maybe with a disclaimer as well.

I'm also wondering if we should consider storing those photos in a private gallery? or is that overkill?

I have the explicit ones in a private gallery . I thought, what is the point of posting links to pictures that members can see as soon as they enter the gallery ?    ???


I'm all for just letting it all hang out, but I realize there are others that don't have the same mindset.  :-\

We are an adult forum on an adult hosting site so as long it is legal, it should be allowed in the gallery, unless it is violating copyright laws.  Explicit photos in forum posts with a "shock factor" should either be thumbnails with links, expandable thumbnails, or just links.  I think common sense should govern this.  It is still a good idea to include something like "warning: explicit" in the topic title.

The important thing is that you brought up a very valid concern.  :thumb:

I like the idea of either a thumbnail that could be expanded (or take you to the gallery), or post the actual pic but set the height width to something a little larger than a thumbnail so you can get a better idea of what is going on without actually assaulting the senses.  This pic would automajically enlarge if you click it (depending on the browser), or you can link it to the gallery pic.
