How to catch and befriend a fairy:
Over the years, every once in a while I've seen Fairies in my back yard.
They're very illusive creatures but I did manage to take a few shots of a very playful one that's been around for a while.
here are a couple more recent shots:

I thought to myself; "They're so cute. I'd love to have one stay with me." So I did some research, learned a lot about fairies and how to befriend them.
I also found what looks like a decent "Fairy trap" kit. It comes with everything needed to catch and befriend a fairy.
Including a gift tray with items fairies love. So, I thought; "what do I have to loose?". So when it arrived, I unboxed it and laid everything out.

The directions read:
"This trap works best when used in early summer when the fireflies are active.
Set it out in a spot with lots of growth, in late afternoon with the all fairy goodies inside.
Then leave it be over night. By early next morning there should be a happy little fairy
inside, waiting for you! If she takes off her wings and gives them to you, she wants to stay with you."
So I set it up in early July, right when the fireflies were in their prime.

True to their word, the next morning, there was the sweetest little Fairy inside! Relishing all the goodies I left for her.

I brought the trap with her inside, into the house, let her out, dusted her off, and she's been here ever since!

Once in a while, she likes to get into the bowl and pose for pictures.
