Argh, inserts.  So,  I finally was able to do the deed with my new WM 174G.  Surprise!  The outer area looks like a fixed vag but inside there's a large hollow area.   I wondered why she came with an insert.  Not what I ordered...

I hate inserts.  The insert hole is small to begin with and usually it gets squeezed even smaller in the insert site.  I used to use these with silicone dolls and they were almost always an exercise in frustration just trying to get started.   Total sex buzzkill.

I remember this awful one I got from 4Woods in the past.  A bright red,  licorice colored one.  Impossible to use.  I called it the 'Red Devil'.      The ones I could make work sometimes came out right in the middle of the act with my dong inside it.  Also a buzzkill..   :D  They all ended up in the trash.

Back to the present:  I put in this insert.  It seems to fit a lot better than the silicone doll insert sites of the past.   Maybe ol Zarn' has something new to experience!   With the exterior the same as a fixed, cosmetically it looks the same.   If only the vag placement wasn't so fucking ridiculous (see associated rant below  ;D )

The unrealistic doll check policy:  I doubt I'll get any help from the vendor if it isn't to my liking.    The universal policy is you're supposed to do an unboxing and inspection on the spot in front of the delivery person.  Yeah,  give me a second to pull out my 38 kg sex doll on my porch so I can check out everything down to the orifices. ("Don't worry elderly lady walking her dog, it's just my sex doll, not a dead person! Please don't call the police."  :P :)))   I would have missed this anyways.   In the olden days,  the insert site was obvious.  :oldman:

Posterior vag placement:  The last time (years ago) I tried to engage in any significant way on TDF,  I noticed a big push to get the vaginal site in the 'proper' position where it is much more posterior.  Discussions seemed to start and end with placement analysis and if it fails this litmus test,  it's crap.  So many of these posters who had never yet  owned a doll were vowing to 'never buy one' that didn't pass the placement test.

Anatomically they were incorrect.  You can see the proper angle and position on cross-section anatomy.  But popular sentiment seems to rule the day.  This appears to be a result of that energy.  The vag is so posterior,  it's difficult to do missionary at all.  I had to prop her higher than I usually do on more pillows just to keep my unit from being cranked down. I ended up in dogstyle where I found out about the insert.  Very unlike my other WM dolls.  This butt-vag is very frustrating.  They might as well just put it where the anus is to fully appease the masses.  ^-^ ^-^

For a big doll in particular,  having to position for dogstyle takes effort.  I'd rather have her start in mish.  The 172D and 167 fitness have a much more versatile placement.  I've been able to do both positions (dog and mish) without hassles.

Inserts.... No doll of mine will be without. I actually converted a built-in. TPE is much more absorbent than silicone. Over time, a built-in TPE doll gets nasty. At some point, it is probably not a good idea to put your dick in there..... Now you are using a condom on a doll.  :)) For your own protection, of course. One great thing about TPE inserts, is that you can turn them inside out and KNOW they are clean.

You may have noticed these inserts tend to geared toward the micropenis of the builders. Gotta be rock hard to get in. Ageing increases difficulty.  :oldman:
Luckily, they come in different SIZES. The one that comes with your doll is likely 1cm ID. They also come in 2 and 2.5cm. Hope this helps.

Placement: If you'll notice, that vag is pretty much in the right spot when the doll is standing, but then when you put her legs up, it moves....
Real Dolls do that to a lesser degree and silicone is far less stretchy. That said, the WM skeleton is VASTLY superior to fragile PVC. You can pound that WM in ways that would shatter a Real Doll, Sinthetic, or 4Woods.

Is there a good online store for these?  I think I'd definitely benefit from a larger size.  I'm not against trying again.  I just had some bad experiences back in the day.

I bought 4 for $50 from Jeff at Booty Call Dolls a few years back. All my dolls are insert and share inserts. Except my Real Doll doesn't share hers. Those, plus the ones that come with the dolls, and I'm good. I turn mine inside out to clean, and that also makes the ID bigger. And cleaner.

Look Mom! No mold!  O:-)
