"No Shoes
No Shirt
No Text
No Service"
I
had a PayPal account for years, although I rarely used it. I
tried to log into my account without success. PayPal
insisted on sending me a verification code by text message, but none of my telephones have text capability. PayPal customer service either could not or
would not email me the verification code (WTF?), after already verifying my phone number AND the last four digits of my SSAN.
After several hours of phone conversations with PayPal customer service, I finally told them to close my account permanently. That way, no hacker can get access to my information. With all of the data breaches going on, there is no point in giving hackers one more avenue to scam me.
Ever since I upgraded my boot drive (Dell XPS 8920 with Windows 10), everybody and their bother claims I am trying to log on from a "new device". Everyone except for PayPal just allows me to log in to their website. At the most, some send a verification code by email, or by telephone voice message.
