Skin tone is very light ,yes.   









But with a bit of bronzer and a bit of blush......








Now, I ain't no makeup arteast... But pardon my boner if I say, that ain't half bad.   :whistle:






Any guesses as to what body EJ's head is on?    ::)

should have used concealer and a medium beige foundation make up......oh for fucks sake I'm a grown man talking about makeup on a forum (walks away shaking his head) :o

I think EJ is wearing an RD body B (classic body 2)

Colour matching is pretty tricky at best..I think you did well.

That body/head combo works :)   Its cool to experiment a little  :thumb:

The SM is alive and well DM. While she wears that body well, CJ has determined that, we (meaning I )  could possibly do better. After all these years with her, I have learned not to argue . That never ends well.  ???

So CJ convinced her to once again go inside the body masher ( yes I have one of those. Every insane amateur doll doctor has one) and see what comes out. Stay tuned for the gory details.    :whistle:

Tami's face is not the original face for this doll. Her current face is an older Tin Cure face with a medium skin tone. I've never been smart enough to leave well enough alone as this thread is going to demonstrate quite well.

I bought the face from Reggie at Galmato a few years back only because Tami was my favorite of the classic faces back in the day. She came with no eyes, tongue and the wrong skin tone. What can possibly go wrong with this purchase besides everything? Well, this is what I am going to explore in this thread.

Yes , I'm going to go down the make-up rabbit hole and try to convert her from a medium skin to to a Tan. Then MAYBE   seal it on so I'm not always having to touch it up. If  I get good enough at it  (make-up in general)I may not do this.

Ceej came by one day a while ago and made her up beautifully for me. But as we all know make up rubs off and now she needs doing again.


 


Tami with her new tongue and her lip colour sealed on. I decided that is going to be her permanent lip colour and that was done with silicone paint.   I also replaced one of her eyelashes.






This thread is a work in progress and I will update as it progresses. I would very much appreciate any advice anyone is willing to impart as I go along..

My hat's off to you for attempting this. This is definitely a challenge.
Your doing great! The only thing I can suggest, if you haven't done so already is watch some makeup tutorials on line and learn as much as you can, and experiement with different looks that you think you might like, before sealing it in.

I have very little experience with facial makeup, but if you think you may want an extra set of hands, you know where to get ahold of me :)

Thanks quys. I will be doing this as time permits as right now that seems to be at a premium. I figured if I start a thread on it that may help keep me motivated. We will see how that works.  :whistle: ;D

OK. So ever since CJ came back from Galmato Haven she has been on me about her eyes.Whilst she was there she was supposed to receive ,at the time, their creme de la creme hi realism eyes. However that all turned to sewage when the Abyss eye maker quit, got quit, resigned,   turfed. Whatever happened , CJ was denied her baby blues. 

Then one day years later in chat , Doll Master came to her rescue like a Knight on a gallant steed. Instead of wielding a sword he, (although he has been known to do so. just as Mistie)  came wielding URL's.

I am speculating here but I would bet dollars to donuts that this is where Abyss is now sourcing there eyes .

At any rate,Smoke now tasked with delivering on this long overdue promise does what any responsible doll owner would do. That's right folks. Cheap out.

That right. Standard blue velvet eyes. Now there is nothing wrong with these eyes at first glance.And why wouldn't  you ignore the disclaimer about the standard eyes appearing  "too White" .Surely the experts are mistaken as they have no clue what they are taking about.  :oldman:

Yup. They were right. They are very white indeed. They are great looking eyes, but very white.  ::)


To say she is once again very pissed at me would be a very accurate understatement.

How did they look with the brunette or black wig? I think the blond is just too much light. Black hair with eyes like that can be just the right change up.  (()) (()) (()) (()) But again you could pull her eyes out completely and i would still want a go around with her  :whistle: :whistle:
