... hopefully she will arrive whole and un molested.
There have been a lot of conspiracy theories on dolls molested during shipping, but I don't think I can remember a legitimate documented and supported claim. A groped doll during a customs exception is definitely a possibility but could hardly be considered "molested". I'm sure there may be a few valid cases over the thousands upon thousands of adult dolls shipped, but these would probably constitute the extremely rare exception. That is what shipping insurance is for. It would be interesting to see if any insurance claims have been based on "molestation" as opposed to regular shipping damage from mishandling.
I hope and suspect your doll will arrive in the exact same condition it was shipped. Looking forward to Tuesday and your update.
'Molestation' is 'in the eye' (and mind) of the observer based on their experience. I've had enough experiences where someone performed a not-doll-related service for me and fucked up that I am always suspicious. I've also had numerous experiences with people in low-paying jobs who just don't give a fuck.
Add to that the sex doll factor. The 'low lifes', and I have no compunction about calling them that, who work for the 'big shippers', UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS, would think it's fun and funny to open a package that they think (or KNOW because of how it's marked) contains any kind of sex toy and inspect or even play with what they find. 'Legitimate documented and supported claim'? Occam's Razor sez (sic) that just ain't going to happen. What shipping company is going to investigate a claim that 'your idiot guys opened my sex doll package'? What supervisor, responsible for an 'investigation' is going to take it seriously? Or are they just going to go out for beer with the 'perpetrators', laugh the whole thing off, and cover it up as would be trivially easy to do? I, for one, am not going to subject myself to the ridicule for the unlikely chance that I'd get some kind of satisfactory restitution.
I can think of six packages with dolls or doll heads inside them that I've had shipped to me.
One of the two packages handled by DHL was a 4woods doll head which was reclosed with tape that said it had been opened. Opened and inspected by 'customs'? What are the chances that the DHL guys themselves had some 'opened by customs' tape to reseal the package? There were suspicious stains inside the package. No, I didn't figure out a way to do a DNA test on the stains. And I didn't ship with DHL again, either.
The one package that was shipped by FedEx had clearly been opened and resealed because the original OEM packing tape (stupidly advertising that there was a sex doll in the package) had been cut. That package was also delivered to a wrong address and left at that address for an indeterminate time that could have been as long as two hours.
The first of my packages shipped by DHL had no indications of having been opened. The one package from Phoenix/Abyss and a second full-size doll from 4woods were both carefully sealed and shipped with Seko. I don't remember the circumstance of the sixth package, a Ruby head in a small, unmarked box. All together, one third of the packages in question arrived in 'suspicious' conditions and circumstances.
