DOLLS in general

I'm not seeing a Dolls in General board so I'm posting here.

Aside from socializing in the chatroom, my purpose in keeping 'my ear to the ground' has been, for years, to stay aware of what's going on in the sex doll 'industry'. What I've always thought helped doing that was lists: lists of vendors, manufacturers, dolls, etc. I was the author of the 'original' (and now long gone) Doll Registry.

What I'd very much like to see is an ongoing New Dolls topic. The way I'd like it to work is people would add a post to the topic when they got a doll saying 'a few' things about the new doll. The 'things' I'd say are most important are type, manufacturer, and vendor. A 'few' of the other 'things' might be included in the list: price, satisfaction grade with the transaction, satisfaction grade with the doll. But keep it brief in the topic. People can post more detailed reviews elsewhere on the site.

What's the point? To help readers be aware of where the industry is and has been going in order to make 'informed' buying decisions. TPE vs silicone, China vs the world, Abyss vs whoever.

     What was called "Dolls In General" at other forums is called "Barmaids (female dolls) and Bartenders (male dolls)" here. The Board description reads:
'This is where all the dolls hang out for discussion and fun'. Admittedly, that is a bit vague.

This Category and Board is for:

dolls that do not fit other existing Categories and / or Boards,
photos that contain more than one type of doll (id est RealDoll, Sinthetic, Teddy Babe, any of the TPE dolls)
photos from group events (like Dollstock)
dolls owned by more that one person, and may be of different make or material

     There have been comments about renaming the entire Cheers! Category and all of those Boards, but no one has offered viable suggestions for those changes. Before today (29 Aug 2021), only you and Ceej voted on the Cheers! Category and Boards poll. {Doll Bar & Grill »Cheers! »Frasier Crane »Cheers! Category and Boards} I only voted so I could see the results. Other than Z-Dr (who did not vote) and yourself, nobody else seems to care one way or the other.

be there, but that is up to you.

noq, thanks for pointing out the problems with the image links in my sig. Interestingly enough, I can see the images just fine and I was curious why that worked after I moved those images from the gallery3 root to my album. I'll change the code.

I thought Barmaids and Bartenders was specifically for dolls in pix composed to make them look like they were IN A BAR. I agree with the vague part. But clearly I'm enough of a stick in the mud that I prefer dry, objective, unambiguous descriptions.

     Once an image is stored in your browser cache, it may show up everywhere that the filename is referenced. If you log out of the forum and gallery (to protect your session cookie*), clear the browser cache, then log back into the forum, you will see what everyone else sees. It is a common mistake, and easy to make.

   * If you clear the browser cache without logging out of the forum or the gallery, the login cookie that was stored on your computer may have been deleted. You could run into "Session verification" errors that will prevent you from logging in at a later time. Not all logins use sessions, but safe is better than sorry. Been there, done that.
