     Hello friends and strangers!  I have been away from doll forums for a while now, so this is just a general update.

     Mobility problems have caused me to totally abandon doll photography. I get around mostly with a walker that I bought from Amazon. I am not comfortable driving my car, so my upstairs neighbor does some of that for me. I have given away about half of the doll wardrobe to women here in the apartment building.

     I have been having severe dizzy spells since January 2023, but they are fewer and farther between than before. I have been to three different hospitals, four different doctors, and a physical therapist. None of them can find the cause of the dizziness. None of the medications that they prescribed have not been much help, so I quit taking them. Other than that, I only experience the typical symptoms of old age. I will be 74 in January.

     Medical bills kept me from renewing my website (arimecibo.com) when the subscription ran out in November 2023. It is doubtful that I will ever re-start the website. Some of my photos are on https://www.viewbug.com/member/noquiexis if you are interested.

I also would like to say that you are missed here at DBG. You have always provided a level of sanity here that kind of keeps the rest of us (me) in check. 

I am really sad to hear about your health issues but hope you can visit us more often and, maybe even pop into chat?

Because quite frankly, the place could use a little more " Pat Boone" .

Update 5 Nov 2025

     My health continues to deteriorate. I have not driven my car for several months. My upstairs neighbor does not have a car, so she drives mine. She does occasionally take me places that I need to go. The Toledo (Ohio) Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) also has a service that will pick me up at the apartment and take me back. I have been riding to church and back with an elderly couple. They are only a couple of years older than I am. Sometimes I need the church wheelchair to get in and out of the building. I can still navigate the eight stair steps up to the second-floor apartment. The first floor is below grade, lower than the parking lot. Going down there to the laundry room is a challenge, but I can still make the trip *most* of the time. Sometimes I have asked neighbors to help carry the basket up the steps. I get it down the steps by attaching a dog leash to one handle and sliding it down slowly.

     I gave the last of the wardrobe to a local church for their rummage sale. I still have Feodora {Anatomical Doll}, but I am not using her for photography. She is just too heavy to move, and all of her clothes are gone except for the dress and shoes that she is wearing. I no longer shop for groceries, but use WalMart's home delivery service. I get most of my non-food items from Amazon.

      My grandson (my elder daughter's son) graduates from high school next year. I am wondering if I will even be able to attend the event. Both of my daughters and their families live in Nebraska. I will be 75 in January. My spirits remain high and hopeful, and besides, I know where I am going!

Update 14 Jan 2026

     I just finished my 75th trip around the sun! 

     From AI Google: "A 75th anniversary is called the Diamond Anniversary, symbolizing the brilliance, strength, and rarity of such a long-lasting milestone, though it's also known as the Diamond Jubilee, a term historically used for monarchs but now applied to major anniversaries, often paired with gold for the 75th year."

     I stopped driving my car last July. The woman who lives in the apartment above me could not afford to keep her car, so I kept mine so that she could drive it. She was given a car by the sister of my next-door neighbor, so I sold mine. I get all of my groceries and prescriptions through the Wal Mart+ home delivery service.

     I am still dizzy all the time, like I drank too much. I still get the massive dizzy spells that knock me off my feet entirely, but I don't get them as often. Not much else has changed.
