Silpoxy, Not just for Silicone dolls.
« on: April 01, 2026, 06:14:39 PM »
But I'm sure this is no news to most of us.  My 2023 Nissan Rogue had a windshield wiper blade beginning to split  at the top  about an inch from the end.

I thought, I'l let it go farther before I get new wiper blades. Not that new wiper blades are all that costly, I'm just weird that way.

Then it occurred to me, I have silpoxy left from Nat's hip replacement surgery a couple of years ago, (Thanks again JB!)

I keep it in the freezer and take it out every few months or so, remove the cap and make sure it hasn't set at the opening, clean it up if it has then back in the freeze.

SO I removed the wiper blade (3 inches flopping at the end) and in three sections at  a time applied silpxy to repair the split.

Feeling full of myself now, we'll see how long it lasts.

Phil

P.S.  In my experience, the blades split at the upper end every time requiring them to be replaced. How long before a blue actually wears out if not for the split end?  Perhaps I will find out.

Now we know why Fedex doll delivery's could be a problem. Their whole fleet was being held together with Sil-poxy!  :o

Thanks JB!   :thumb:

The split end repair gave way, (5 months)  I found the silpoxy did not adhere that well to the rubber.  Probably due to oxidation. So I wiped it clean with acetone after peeling off the silpoxy and will give it another go..

P.S.   I been busy with one sixth's and ordered a 1/4 BJD off EBAY, a Chinese Popovy knock off. (Such a lovely face, not one of the weird ones)  There are a few Russian ladies doing incredibly good work, but I can't afford 'em. I really ought to get my ass in gear and relearn posting pics here.  How long have I been saying that?

Soon I hope!   ;D

I'd LOVE to see your collection!   8)
" Leaving it to the imagination "     is highly overrated.

Sandy is a wonderful B6 Classic Realdoll, and Nicole is a sweet Realdoll Petite 5.  Close sisters, they both share classic F1 faces as well as all the classic F1 expression faces. Sandy also has several sets of reusable "Real Breast" prosthetics.     Julie, Christine, Emma, Kiki and their friends are sexy little Phicen micro-babes.
